FamilySearch: A Guide to the British Batches

This site by Archer Software lists the extracted batch numbers for the British Isles that previously formed part of the International Genealogical Index (IGI). To search for a particular parish or church, click on the  Country link at left (England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland) then on a County name. This displays an index of places (mostly parishes) with batch number, event type (birth, baptism, marriage), date range and other information. If you click on a batch number for a place (eg Ninfield, Sussex - Baptisms 1663-1879) a search box appears with the batch number listed, click on Submit to go to FamilySearch where the records for that batch number are displayed. There is the option to enter a Surname to display the FamilySearch records for that surname and place.
