Federation of Family History Societies List of Members includes societies and contacts. These include the Anglo-German, Anglo-Italian, Quaker and Romany & Traveller family history societies. 

GENUKI's List of Family History and Genealogy Societies. Includes regional societies.

Society of Genealogists, London. Information about the Society and its activities. Information Leaflets are available online.

The EnglandGenWeb Project  has individual county sites which offer access to a wide range of local information, resources and links.

Bedfordshire
Bedfordshire Family History Society

Photographs of Bedfordshire by Kevin Quick. This series of photos includes churches which are indexed alphabetically by parish plus a collection of pictures of towns and villages.

Bedfordshire & Luton Archives & Records Service Archives Online. This site offers name, place and subject searches plus combined, reference or free text searches.

Bedfordshire Gaol Register 1801-1901. This ongoing project currently has 1801-1879 (with gaps)  available.  New updates are added on a weekly basis. Details given vary but can include name, age, hair colour, height, crime, dates of commital and trial, sentence and means of disposal e.g. release, death, transportation etc.

Richard Heaton's Family History Homepage includes an index (link at top of page) to 13,000+ names in the Windsor and Eton Express (1826-1842) plus indexes to soldiers, police and pubs, inns & beer houses. 2,800+ names from the 1539 North Wiltshire Musters have also been indexed.

Buckinghamshire County Council, Aylesbury Gaol in the 19th Century. This database details Prisoners Entering the County Gaol in Aylesbury in the 1870s. It includes name, age, birth place, residence, crime and if a photo is available. Other details such as occupation and sentence are also available.

East Cheshire Council - Wills and Probate Records. There are two searchable databases covering Cheshire wills and probate records 1540-1857 proved in the Archdeaconry of Chester and registers for wills proved in the Registry of Chester from 1858 to 1940. These records are held by the Cheshire Record Office. The databases are free to search with copies available for £4 plus postage.

FamilySearch by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This site features free, searchable Historical Record Collections. The record collections for Europe include:
• Cornwall Parish Registers, 1538-1900

Cornwall Online Parish Clerks. This site contains a searchable database of records donated by transcribers worldwide. A Person Search includes the following: baptisms; non-conformist baptisms; banns; marriages; burials plus birth, marriage and death certificates. Other categories available for searching include bastardy bonds; parish settlements; hearth tax; muster rolls; monumental inscriptions; protestation returns; voters lists and apprentice indentures. The search return includes a More Info button which links to a transcription of the record.

Cornwall Online's Genealogy Pages online Cornish Mining Index to 16,000+ names. Several other databases (surnames, convicts, executions and RN ships) are available for downloading.

Cornish Cemeteries Index by Christine Uphill. This site aims to provide online access to the cemeteries, in the West Penwith area of Cornwall, transcribed by Suezan James. The project has since been expanded and other cemeteries have been included. Currently there are over 20,000 names indexed.

The West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser. This volunteer site has transcripts of birth, marriage and death notices as well as fairs, fishery reports, court reports, separation notices, absconded apprentices, coroner's inquests and other notices from The West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser newspaper 1836-1887.

Mid-Kent Marriages Index 1754-1911 by David Hill offers access to transciptions of marriage records the mid Kent registration districts of East Ashford, West Ashford, Cranbrook, Elham, Hollingbourne, Romney Marsh and Tenterden.

London Metropolitan Archives (LMA) Family Research online access to London Generations database of genealogical sources held by LMA. The London Signatures database offers online searches and digital copies (fee) of marriage bonds and wills held by LMA.

London Lives 1690-1800 - Crime, Poverty and Social Policy in the Metropolis. London Lives makes available, in a fully digitised and searchable form, a wide range of primary sources about eighteenth-century London, with a particular focus on plebeian Londoners. This resource includes over 240,000 manuscript and printed pages from eight London archives and is supplemented by fifteen datasets created by other projects. It provides access to historical records containing over 3.35 million names. This site allows users to link together records relating to the same individual and compile biographies.

ParishRegister.com by Docklands Ancestors  Ltd is a site for those tracing Docklands, Thames, watermen and lightermen ancestors. There is extensive information available plus free online name searching of London parish registers. Full details from the registers are available for a small fee.

London's Past Online. A keyword searchable bibliography of London history created by the Centre for Metropolitan History in association with the Royal Historical Society.  

The Charles Booth Online Archive Charles Booth's inquiry into the life and labour of London people (1886-1903) documented the poverty and human suffering. He interviewed people from all walks of life and created detailed poverty maps (1892-1897) of the city which can be browsed online and compared with London maps (2000). Surname searches of those interviewed are available and it is possible to check a street address to see the poverty or wealth level assigned to that street.

London Burial Grounds aims to provide a record of London's burial grounds. Maps, historical notes, photographs and images are provided if available.

Norfolk Public Houses. This site has over 5000 establishments arranged by place name. Choose a place and a list of public houses for that place will appear, choose one and a list of licensees and dates will appear plus a photograph of the premises and historical information.

The Norfolk Churches site offers an independent guide to the churches of Norfolk. Includes historical details, interior and exterior photographs and much more.

Norfolk Transcription Archive offers access to contributed parish register indexes, records of subsidy (tax) and census record indexes. It is searchable by surname and place and has 475,209+ records. 

Tinstaafl Transcripts 1813 to 1880 Baptism Project. This ongoing project is placing free transcripts of Co Norfolk Parish Registers online. Check to see if parishes of interest are online.

1813 to 1880 Baptism Project - Longham St Andrew & St Peter. These transcripts are arranged chronologically and include full details from the original registers. 

Norwich Census of the Poor – 1570. The data was first transcribed from the original documents and analysed in detail by John F Pound in the 1960s and published on paper by the Public Record Society. The data was converted into electronic form by Paul Welbank in 1999.
